The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Britain next month to attend charity events, a spokesman for the couple said.

Harry and Meghan will also visit Germany as part of their trip to support “several charities close to their hearts”.

Their visit to the UK will be the first time they have been back in the country since Platinum anniversary celebration in early June.

Details of any reunions with members of the royal family have not been made public.

But last month it was reported that the Queen was hoping to “spend some quality time” with the couple before the summer was out.

The 96-year-old monarch is rumored to have asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and their two children Archie and Lilibet, to visit her at Balmoral Castle.

“They are preparing for the Sussexes,” a Balmoral source told The Sun.

What has been confirmed for Prince Harry and Meghan’s UK visit is a trip to Manchester for the One Young World Summit.

The event brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries on 5 September.

The Duchess of Sussex is an adviser to the organization, along with Justin Trudeau, Sir Richard Branson and Jamie Oliver, among others.

They will then head to Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event, before returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards on 8 September.

The American-based couple appeared to have little time with Her Majesty and the extended royal family during the Platinum anniversary celebrations earlier this year.

But Harry and Meghan’s royal biographer Omid Scobie had told Metro.co.uk there was “no split” following their attendance at the Thanksgiving service in June.

Their presence at the event, according to a member of the extended family, was a “test bed for future business” after months of high tension.

The Queen had met great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time during a private lunch with senior royals during the Platinum Jubilee.

The event was held behind closed doors after Trooping the Colour, as thousands of people descended on the central London shopping centre.
