NBA 2K23 allows players to respawn and rebuild their MyPlayer characters, but only after completing the Rebirth quest line involving Ronnie 2K. To complete the quest line, you must find Ronnie several times inside the game’s online hub without the help of map markers. The game delights in not revealing exactly where and when you can find him, so we’re here to guide you through how to complete this long quest and earn some great rewards along the way. Here you will find Ronnie 2K in NBA 2K23.
All Ronnie 2K locations for the Rebirth mission
Ronnie 2K will appear in four different locations throughout the mission and award a different reward each time you find him. Your player must reach specific overall ranks for each encounter to earn Ronnie 2K’s prizes.
First place and reward – 65 OVR
When your player reaches a total of 65 or higher, go to the northeast side of the map to find Ronnie 2K. It is him near the Northside Knights zone, just to the left of the Knights Station icon. He’s standing next to a dumpster in a bright pink hoodie, so he’s hard to miss. Talk to Ronnie to get a shirt with his picture on the front – not a worthy prize, but the best is yet to come.
Second place and reward – 75 OVR
After reaching a 75 overall, use the train to get to West Mall Station. Ronnie will be standing just east of the station, between the Finders Keepers and Embellish shops nearby. This time he will reward you with the ability to choose where you spawn when you enter the city. To set a custom spawn point, pretty simple open the map and press the ‘Select’ prompt when you highlight any train station.
Third place and reward – 88 OVR
When you are at 88 in total, make your way to North Station, which is located at west of the Northside Knights zone. Ronnie is northeast of the station, standing under a large 2K Sports sign. His third reward gives players the ability to go shirtless when playing games in The City.
Fourth place and reward – 90 OVR
Finally, after reaching an overall rating of 90, go to the South City Vipers zone in the southwest corner of The City, just south of Ronnie 2K’s second location. Ronnie is waiting near the entrance to the Vipers’ territory. He stands in front of the large wooden sign. After completing this hide and seek game, Ronnie finally lets you use the respawn feature.
What does Rebirth do?
Essentially, the respawn feature will allow you to create a new MyPlayer for MyCareer mode while saving your current progress. Your player will return to 90 total with a number of pre-locked brand points. You’ll still need around 200,000 VC to upgrade your stats, but completing the Rebirth quest will save a lot of time when it comes to grinding out brand new players.
